Start the day right! Whether you are a dabbler, a regular meditator, or are just meditation-curious, this workshop is for you! We will cover the what, why, and how of meditation. Enjoy learning, sharing, and practicing with your fellow MHAers.
This activity will include:
- What meditation is
- Why meditating is good for you
- Mindfulness exercise
- A 5 to 20 minute (whatever time you are comfortable with) guided and silent meditation

What to bring: Yoga mat and/or pillow and/or blanket. Clean hands (I’ll explain later)

I am a college psychology instructor with 12 years of experience as a counseling therapist. Meditation has been a part of my personal and professional life for over 30 years. I currently do 5 to 20 minutes of meditation at the end of every morning workout.
