It is that time of year again, when mornings have a cold edge, pumpkin spice rains down upon the world, and Morganton Humanists join together under the sun and stars for a weekend of laughter, creativity, and a celebration of our unique connection to one another. This year, the Gathering of the Tribe will once again be held at Area H of Steel Creek Park and Campground.


$7 per person per night for tent camping. Kids 3 and under are free! Day passes for Saturday only are $7 per person. Please pay Steel Creek Park and Campground directly at the camp store upon entering the park. Be sure to let them know you are with the MHA group. If you have an RV, please contact the campground ahead of time to make arrangements at 828-433-5660.

On-site Details:

Port-o-lets on site. Full bathhouse within walking distance. Limited electrical and one shared water spigot at the covered area. Cell service may be spotty to non-existent. WI-FI access available at the front gate. There is also a small general store for stocking necessities and making wood purchases.

3:00 pm – Witch Hunt (Isaac Crouch)

5:00 pm – Tribal Feast

7:00 pm – Micless Open Mic (Ed Gildea)

11:00 pm – Shhhh… Quiet Time


8:00 am – 11:30 am – Lend a hand by picking up trash and helping your neighbors break down campsites.

Noon – Mass Exodus of Humans
